As an only child myself, I definitely need to have some time for myself every so often or else I'll go crazy, haha.

Once I started running I really starting to pay attention to what I was fueling my body with at the same time. I started eating more and more fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and just real healthy food rather than processed junk. While I definitely love having a delicious ice cream sundae once in a while, it's something that is more like a special treat than a necessity. Treating your body right is something I really believe in, and it has certainly made me feel so much better both physically and mentally. After I stopped eating a bunch of junk food and started running, I even stopped getting my daily migraines! Luckily my parents are relatively healthy too, but I can imagine it must be difficult to be in a household filled with not the most nutritious food. But I wish you luck in your pursuits of healthiness! Keep us updated. :)

Ah, and happy belated 19th birthday once again, haha! Your birthday sounds like it was a lot of fun.

I don't think I could handle working in retail... there are so many angry customers all the time! I always see people being rude and I feel so bad.

I'm so glad to hear from you. :DNataliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15962106717375135503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5141434431468457645.post-62563971250910282292011-07-29T05:36:11.288-07:002011-07-29T05:36:11.288-07:00Olive, my sweet! HEEEEY!
Well if you're bondi...Olive, my sweet! HEEEEY!

Well if you're bonding with friends who are we to complain about you not having time to blog but I do believe you need to find some time to read and watch something as that's just always a nice relaxant!

It is hard to think and eat healthily when in a large house but it's good that you're thinking about it now. Besides, you're most definitely not in the chubby category now! You're simply stunning, dear.

I hope you had a simply awesome 19th birthday! It looks like you had a really good time with your friends! That was lovely of them to treat you to that!

It's great that your friends came up to visit you also! It's great having college friends like that :)

I hope you're having an awesome summer break and you come back soon <3Helennn Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12139865288169887551noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5141434431468457645.post-59461294611472920572011-07-28T19:49:11.659-07:002011-07-28T19:49:11.659-07:00Helloooo, Olive!
I am doing quite well, and it so...Helloooo, Olive!

I am doing quite well, and it sounds like you are too. That's awesome that your friends came up to you; I have one that I've seen a few times because she's a 30 minutes away, but I know one of my friends from Maine is flying to Rochester and I'm picking him up, and then my friend from New Hampshire is stopping by before she moves into school and I go abroad! I feel like it's nervewracking but also really exciting to show people how I live :) And yeah, it does seem like you have some stellar friends. Haha, I already stalked through your birthday photos but the hibachi-movie-bonfire sounds perfect!

And I also commend you for your undertaking for a household nutrition revolution. My parents used to not have the same regard to eating so healthily-- I probably was a bit more blunt and pushy than you with it-- but now I am pleased with the amount of fresh vs. processed food we invest in. Although, I do have a terrible weakness for baked goods and sweets :( Haha! But seriously, if you ever want to swap recipes or talk food, let me know! I'd be soooo happy to help you.
I wish I could join a gym like you, even the YMCA! Definitely take advantage of those classes- I wouldn't mind trying kickboxing myself. Zumba is crazy fun too, I've been shown up by women three decades older than me hahaa. I can't wait to hear all about it.

Finally, thanks for sharing that tidbit from your trainer! I never knew that strength should come first.. what a huge misconception...

Cheers, and talk to you soon!
nicole.Nicole Linettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11012844606894090211noreply@blogger.com
